Help Stop GlobalWarming

An alarming situation has come now to act and stop Global Warming. Everyone of us is responsible for this situation and now each of us has to take part in stopping it.
What exactly is global warming, can be answered simply by stating that we have excess carbon-dioxide in the atmosphere which holds heat in it, making the atmosphere warmer.

What as an individual can we do to help reduce this carbons. First thing is to use the energy efficiently. "Energy saving is Energy produced". We know most of human-made carbondioxide is from burning Fossil fuels (Coal). so the more efficiently we use our available energy, the less we burn fossil fuels.

Due to warmer temperatures,we are now observing the extinction of many species and catastrophic diseases to come along and rising sea levels due to glaciers melting down in the arctic.

Few things to follow:
1)Drive at lower speeds , this reduces the emissions from your vehicle, at the same time, your mileage increases. After i started driving at 55 Mph ,my mileage increased on average 1 Mile/gallon.
2)Use CFL bulbs, instead of Incandescent bulbs, and switch off when not necessary.
3)Air Conditioners are one of the more energy consuming appliances, when not necessary/not compulsory use a ceiling fan instead.
4)Try to use as much cold water as you can. Have your shower with cold/warm water. Use cold water when dishwashers or laundry/washing machine is required.
5)Turning OFF the applicances in stead of putting them in standby. Mostly we observe we put our television sets in standby, we can save lot of energy by turning it OFF.

As a human , show solidarity to stop global warming campaign.

Today,30 may 2007 at 10.00 PM in the night i was just trying to search my last name on the google web. I was not sure about what the search results will be, but was curious at the same time. I knew that there are several people , ancestors with this surname. Sometimes i doubt whether my surname is correctly spelt and what would it be for exact spelling of my surname in Telugu. To my surprise, i was seeing a search result with my Gmail Email-ID. The search link was showing up some post /question i had about expect scripting when i was working on some project and it was somewhere back in Apr 2006.

I always knew that my Gmail ID is populated around each corner of the internet. I receive more than 25 Spam mails daily. And may be this is one of the reasons i could think of, search link directly showed up your email ID, which means its a direct contact for the spammers and product marketing & promoting companies. guys be alert with your Id's, your Ids are prey to those companies.

Similarities between religions

Last week i was watching a video on YouTube, which one of my colleague at work referred me. It was about the "Similarities between Hinduism and Islam". The speaker was Dr.Zakir Naik , the founder and president of Islamic Research Foundation(irf.net).

I was not surprised to hear from the video talks about GOD being one and only one. The speaker is a good orator and his speeches are more clear. From the video i watched , it looks like he has gone through all the Holy scriptures in Hinduism, Bible from christianity, and Quran in Islam. There were few answers i got for the questions which were lurking in my mind for past many years. Though i did not really attempt to get these answers by research myself into Scriptures or any other books, accidentally, i watched this video and was feeling good about it.

Mr. Naik was quoting most of the verses / slokas/ hymn whatever you call from Quran and Vedas and upanishads. If the preaches he gave are only to bring peace among humans and to lead a serene life , i second it. I believe its Almighties wish , whom to create in which community or religion. But is it true that one has to propagate his religion or bound to his own religion in this modern times. Dr.Naik says "Today islam is the fastest growing religion", i was not sure whether he is saying, many people are converting to Islam today.

I still have many questions unanswered which will bug me all along life, Who is the first human arrived on to EARTH. If bible and quran says , its Adam, what about Vedas or upanishads say about it. How are the epics of hinduism like Ramayana, mahabharatha related to this.
